Each child rocket inflicts the same amount of damage as its parent, and any enemies unfortunate enough to be caught under all six are unlikely to survive the bombardment.Īdditionally, the Nidhogg can be used to great effect as a mid-range, direct-fire rocket launcher due to its high damage, low ammo consumption and quick reload speed. However, good distance judgment and practice can make the Nidhogg an incredibly devastating weapon. Its high accuracy is partially betrayed by its airburst effect, which limits it from being used beyond mid-range. The Nidhogg is a highly technical rocket launcher, capable of extreme damage if used properly. Fires airburst rockets which explode after a set distance, damaging nearby enemies and releasing six smaller rockets at a 90 degree angle from the original rocket. It doesn’t do anything spectacularly different compared to the original but what it does do is take what was so good about the first game and in a way improve it a little bit and when it’s all said and done it does more than enough to get a recommendation from me.Special Part(s): barrel2_Hyperion_Nidhogg Nidhogg is a legendary rocket launcher in Borderlands manufactured by Hyperion.ĭeath rains from above – Greatly increased damage and reload speed. At the end of the day if you were a fan of the first game then you’ll love Nidhogg 2. Both the visuals and sound design have a unique flavour implemented into them and in a way this unique flavour makes the gameplay that little bit more fun. The presentation side of the game may not be the best you’ve ever seen before, but I actually really enjoyed it. This is great then because no issues mean the frustration levels never get high at all and this gives you another reason to return back to the game time and time again. Technically once again the game holds up really well throughout and there isn’t really any problems to discuss. Despite there being a huge amount of customisation available to you it doesn’t really have anything different from the first game, but whilst this may be off-putting for some it didn’t really bother me that much. You can literally chop and change every little detail to your heart’s content and by doing this it means that you can make every game completely different, which is great. One thing that really impressed me about this game was the amount of customisation the game delivers to you. Nidhogg is identified as a linnorm of godlike proportions in the HR1 Vikings. Playing it this way is much more fun and you’ll find that you end up sinking a huge amount of hours into the game without realising when you play in co-op. A longsword, also written long sword, is a one-handed melee slashing weapon. I will say though that it only really became tedious and repetetive when playing on your own and without a doubt the best way to enjoy this game is when you play with friends. Even though the replaybility and addictiveness is quite high in the game I would still recommend that you play this game in short bursts because it does become repetetive quite quickly. Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Nidhogg 3 years ago. The player to advance through the most screens wins. The novelty is that upon death you reappear in the next screen. Once again the gameplay is a very unique experience and when you factor in the very good strategy elements as well you do end up getting addicted quite quickly. 13 Features strongest in: Controls Reading Nidhogg (2014) is a fast two-player duelling game whose simple visuals belie the skill required to defeat your opponent. Thankfully it was worth the wait and I’ve already sunk quite a few hours into the game and the best thing is that I can’t see myself getting bored of Nidhogg 2 any time soon. As you can imagine then I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on Nidhogg 2 and I was very excited that it was finally making its way to the Xbox One. In a way the gameplay was unique and it stood out quite a bit which meant returning to the game was quite easy to do. I only played Nidhogg briefly back in 2014 and despite me only playing the game for a brief amount of time I really enjoyed what the gameplay I only played Nidhogg briefly back in 2014 and despite me only playing the game for a brief amount of time I really enjoyed what the gameplay had to offer.
